Welcome
Director Welcome Letter
Welcome to the TTUHSC Psychiatry Residency. We are a mid-sized program with most of
our training occurs at the University Medical Center, the Sunrise Canyon Hospital,
the Health Sciences Center, Covenant Medical Center, and Covenant Children’s Hospital.
We are very committed to providing a balanced program of didactics and patient care.
Our program has faculty members with a wide variety of expertise, including; Child
and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP), Forensic Psychiatry, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry,
Geriatric Psychiatry, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance
and Commitment Therapy, and neuromodulatory treatments.
One of our biggest strengths is the outstanding research support. Our residents have
access to the TTUHSC Clinical Research Institute in addition to a full-time faculty
member dedicated to supporting and supervising residents’ research.
I greatly appreciate your interest in our program, and I hope that throughout your interview experience, you discover the unique qualities of our training program. I look forward to meeting you.
