Background
Dr. Nollan is a historian of medicine and the Executive Director of the TTUHSC Libraries. Dr. Nollan Richard Nollan was awarded the Medical Library Association’s Gottlieb Prize (recently renamed the Eric Meyerhoff Prize) in 2013 for the best unpublished paper in the history of the health sciences. Dr. Nollan is committed to humanism in medicine and brings extensive knowledge to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Professional Focus
Dr. Nollan is focused on making the TTUHSC Libraries a world class resource for Texas. Under his guidance the historical collections have received a heightened presence and appreciation.
Teaching and Counseling
Dr. Nollan teaches in the Narrative Medicine course for the Medical Humanities Certificate Program. He also supports our students in research activities and through his network of resources in the history of medicine.
