Erika is a Texas native, earning her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from Texas Tech
University. Erika recently returned to the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center as the
Associate Director for Immigration Compliance. She previously worked with residents
and fellows in different TTUHSC Departments in Lubbock, TX. Erika enjoys providing
assistance and information to students for their academic success.  Rachel Branch Rachel Branch joined the Student Life team as International Student Coordinator in July of 2024. She organizes and leads workshops, training sessions, and orientations for our international students. She also supports and advises international students on a variety of day-to-day issues. Rachel has been working in education for over 13 years as an English instructor for international adults. She has taught English in higher education settings in China, Mongolia and Saudi Arabia. She has worked as an English instructor for the TTU International Teaching Assistant summer workshop six times, and has also taught for Portland State University, Austin Community College, South Plains College, and several private language schools. In addition, Rachel has taught English to Iraqi embassy and parliament members for two projects with the U.S. Department of State. Rachel received her M.A. in Classics and later in Applied Linguistics, both from Texas Tech University. When she’s not busy raising her two cats, Rachel loves to spend time with friends and family, play roller derby, and travel the world. Teresa Carlisle |
