"Moving to Lubbock and thrown into the frenzy of anatomy and graduate courses, my idea of the Lubbock community was limited and skewed. Entering SOTA has given me many opportunities to discover more treasures of the diverse Lubbock community, and how there are many opportunities for us OT’s to live out our vision of meaningful interactions and impact of serving individuals to participate in their loved and meaningful activities. Through this organization I have been exposed and learned so much about different populations and needs within the community I reside in! With that, it’s been a privilege to be part of an organization that lives out the OT heart!"

"I love being a member of SOTA as it allows me the opportunity to advocate for my profession in the Lubbock community and at conference. I am also able to support my fellow future practitioners as we grow in our professional developmental journey. In turn I am able to see the joy and excitement of individuals we serve through volunteering opportunities. This truly brings joy and a sense of purpose to my own life.
