Allegra X12-R Centrifuge
The centrifuge has a floating bucket rotor that can hold 50 ml and 15 ml conical tubes. Refrigerated centrifugation, maximum speed is 10,200 rpm (fixed angel), maximum g-force is 11,400 xg (fixed angle, run time up to 9 hours, hold pulse (short run)), accel/decel profiles 10/11, temperature range is +18 degrees Celsius to +22 degrees Celsius (preset). Currently, we have the following swing bucket rotors: SX4750A or S/N10T2181.

The incubators, by Thermo Scientific, are used for cell culture incubation.

The Light Cycler 96 is a quantitative PCR machine that can be used with tubes and plates.

NanoDrop 3300 Fluorospectrometer for broad spectrum fluorescence analysis. Using a patented technology, it uses as little as 1 μL of sample. (This purchase was funded by the TTUHSC Research Advisory Council, Odessa, TX, as support for a project of Dr. Banina and Dr. Kosov).

Centrifuge 5424 R
Centrifuge 5424 R has a 24-place capacity and speed up to 21,130 xg. It is perfectly equipped for all modern molecular biology applications in Eppendorf and PCR tubes. Refrigerated Centrifuge 5424 R features state of the art cooling technology to ensure energy efficiency and high temperature accuracy for maximum sample protection.
