The mission of the Office of Global Health is to promote health equity and global competence through reflexive learning experiences and ethical global engagement.

VISION:

The vision of the Office of Global Health is to foster a culture of global mindedness to ensure a lasting commitment to global engagement and a legacy of greater health equity.   

DEFINITIONS: 

Global Competence: The capacity to examine local, global, and intercultural issues, to understand and appreciate the perspectives of world views of others, to engage in open, appropriate and effective interactions with people from different cultures, and to act for collective well-being and sustainable development.

Global Mindedness: Recognition that one is a citizen of the world with commitments and obligations toward the planet and others, irrespective of particular cultural or national background.

• Agreements with institutions abroad
• Advising students participating in international programs
