Scholarship Opportunities

A scholarship is a type of financial aid that does not need to be repaid and may be awarded on the basis of merit, service, leadership, and/or academic program. Below are scholarship opportunities awarded by the Division of Institutional Excellence & Culture. Please take note of due dates to ensure your application is reviewed.

Multicultural Faculty & Staff Association Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship is not currently open for new applications. Please check back on this page for the Spring 2026 award cycle.

The Division of Institutional Excellence and Culture within the Office of the President is pleased to provide scholarship opportunities to learners at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC). Each scholarship is in the amount of at least $1,000. Recipients may only receive the scholarship once per academic program.

The Division reserves the right to not award scholarships.

Eligibility
      • Currently enrolled an a TTUHSC academic program;
      • Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) for the latest academic year;
      • Be a first-generation, first-generation postbaccalaureate, and/or First Health learner (terms defined below); and
      • Have overcome personal circumstances that served as obstacles to pursuing an education and/or be from a living environment or academic setting that may have hindered academic pursuits.

Please note: applicants of all races and ethnicities are given equal consideration for this award.

Application

Those who are interested and meet the above criteria are expected to submit an application by the deadline. Application materials include submission of:

        • R Number;
        • Program of Study;
        • Graduation Month/Year;
        • Current resume or curriculum vita; and
        • 350-500 word essay discussing how the applicant meets the scholarship criteria listed above.
