Hand Hygiene

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.

  • Cover your mouth with tissues whenever sneezing, and discard used tissues in the trash. If a tissue is not available, sneeze or cough into your elbow or upper sleeve, not into hands.

  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.

  • Additional hand sanitizer stations are provided throughout our campuses.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Refrain from shaking hands.

  • Use telephone and video conferencing instead of group meetings.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces such as cell phones, laptops, iPads, etc. with manufacturer-approved wipes and cleaning solutions.
