Commencement

A graduation application is required for all graduating candidates, whether participating in the commencement ceremony or not:

1. Go to your My HSC tab in Webraider
2. Select Commencement (Under Manage My Enrollment)
3. Select Apply to Graduate
4. Complete the application

Order Deadline: Thursday, February 5, 2026 by 5:00 pm. Orders placed after 5:00 pm Thursday, February 5th will incur an expedite fee, plus applicable shipping fees. The last day to place an order with an expedited fee is February 16, 2026.

Candidates for baccalaureate degrees should place their tassel on the right side of the mortarboard. All other candidates should place their tassel on the left side at all times.

• All graduates will check in at the practice gym located on the event level of the United Supermarkets Arena (USA) on May 8th between 8:30 - 9:30 am.
• Graduates will enter the arena down the north ramp of the USA. Graduates will be the only ones allowed to enter down the ramp.
  • NOTE: There will be a security check at the entry door for grads, so bring your regalia in hand, do not wear it. There will be mirrors available for you to get ready upon arrival.
• Graduates, do not bring personal belongings with you. There will not be an area for you to leave personal belongings.
• Be mindful of the shoes you wear to the ceremony. There will times when you’ll be doing a great deal of standing, walking, climbing stairs, and ramps.

Parking

Graduates and guests should park in the lot west of the United Supermarkets Arena. https://www.depts.ttu.edu/unitedsupermarketsarena/guestServices/facility/parking.php

• Graduates may invite as many guests as they wish to the ceremony. Tickets are not required.
• There is open seating, so guests are encouraged to arrive early for preferred seating. Doors will open 1.5 hours before the start of the ceremony
• Family and friends must enter the building through the main entrances of the arena. Guests will not be allowed to enter the building through the graduate entrance.

Clear Bag Policy is in effect for guests attending the commencement ceremonies.

United Supermarkets Arena Policies

Prohibited items inside the arena during commencement ceremonies include noise makers, balloons, confetti, and glitter, etc.

• United Supermarkets Arena is a concealed handgun license (CHL) exclusionary zone (guns free zone) for athletic and other designated events including commencements.
• Outside food and beverage is not permitted inside the arena.

The School of Nursing uses Candid Color Photography to take pictures of all graduates once they cross the stage at commencement. They will send you proofs of these photos following the ceremony.
