Sanam Bhakta

Hello! My name is Sanam Bhakta, and I am a native Texan passionate about public health and health equity. I graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biology. Currently, I am a medical student at the Texas Tech Health Science Center School of Medicine pursuing a dual MD/MBA degree. From a research perspective, my areas of interest are in Internal Medicine, with a special focus on social determinants of health. My passion for public health and tackling healthy inequities have also inspired me to found a non-profit with the mission of democratizing health education by directly connecting health resources to underserved communities across the nation. 

Outside of my professional interests, I enjoy traveling the world, reading, and hiking.
