Confidentiality
(as described in policies and procedures)
- All instructors, center staff, participants and visitors will sign a confidentiality agreement which protects both the content of the scenario and information about the performance of the participant.
- Locations external to the center will have appropriate signage to prevent non participants from entering the simulation area.
- No one who is not participating or instructing a particular session will be allowed to observe during a scenario without the prior permission of all personnel involved in the activity.
- No photos will be taken during a simulation without the prior permission of all personnel involved in the activity.
- Video of the simulation activities will be used for debriefing and quality assurance purposes only.
- Photos taken with permission for news publication must have signed publicity releases. Student photos require a notarized student information release form.
- Use of scenario videos for education, research or public relations are on a voluntary basis and require the written permission of the participant.
- Random videos will be used for instructor and program evaluation. Each ASA endorsed course member has the right to refuse the availability of their video for this purpose.
